From the second you open your eyes and breath a mixture of gases to the moment you finally bade goodbye to the world, you encounter innumerable experiences. You meet obstacles, but you also find the determination to overcome them. You sidetrack onto the wrong path, but you also identify the stronger ray of truth. There are times you feel intimidated, and other times when you feel overconfident, and times when you are unsure of how you feel or how you are expected to feel. Then come moments of joy, and longing sadness that make you stronger. You constantly interact with the different phases of life, getting introduced to each situation and one of the probable consequences to each.
However, when you look back to the silly antic people once laughed at, or the pride in their eyes when you outshone others, your lips curve into a small grin with a sense of satisfaction.
Because life is not lived by remaining cautious and within your shells. It's a time to embrace everything around you, accept your flaws and others', and live life wholeheartedly. After all, as Roosevelt mentions, 'that is how character is built.'
